Attention ECRs! São Paulo School of Advanced Science (SPSAS) on pathogenic trypanosomatids

From basic biology to pathogenesis and new therapies

19 – 30 September 2022This São Paulo School of Advanced Science (SPSAS) is focused on parasites causing two important and neglected diseases. Leishmaniasis, endemic in more than 80 countries all over the world, and Chagas Disease, endemic in several countries in the Americas. The School conveys strong interdisciplinarity bringing together experts from different fields. It will encompass from basic to the cutting-edge research and knowledge on genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology, structural biology, metabolism, epigenetics, drug design, among others.

This TrypsSchool will take place between 19 to 30 September 2022 in two campi from the University of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, and São Carlos. Both are renowned institutions with firm commitments on different aspects of research in parasitology, in Brazil. We believe that the diverse foci of research conducted in each location will enrich the understanding of these parasitic protozoa, as well as the complex diseases they cause.
