Dr Calvin Tiengwe

Dr. Calvin Tiengwe is a Sir Henry Dale Research
Fellow at Imperial College London. His research focuses on iron homeostasis in
African trypanosomes, a parasite that causes African sleeping sickness in
humans and related diseases in livestock and wild animals. His fellowship is
funded by the Wellcome Trust and the Royal Society, and he has been an independent
investigator since 2018. Prior to this, he completed his PhD at the University
of Glasgow, followed by two consecutive postdoctoral fellowships at Johns
Hopkins School of Medicine (Baltimore, MD) and SUNY Buffalo (NY), USA. For more
